In order to provide the best quality care for his oral surgery patients, Dr. Mitchell maintains connections with multiple local hospitals. He is presently Chairman of the Division of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Mease Healthcare System in Countryside and Dunedin. He enjoys surgical privileges at Helen Ellis Memorial Hospital in Tarpon Springs, Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, North Bay Hospital in New Port Richey, and Trinity Out-Patient Center in Trinity. His medical and dental background provide him with the expertise necessary to provide full patient care for his patients.

- Medically compromised patients
- Patients who have heart valve replacements, are on blood thinners, or who have overall systemic compromise, etc.
- Patients with extensive facial trauma
- High risk cases that need maxillofacial expertise
- Orthognathic surgery
- Dr. Mitchell also provides out-patient and in-patient orthognathic surgery which is a corrective facial surgery done for functional and cosmetic defects. He is trained in the correction of congenital and skeletal anomalies such as jaw growth malalignments, cleft palates, and other maxillofacial surgical conditions such as overbites, underbites, or facial asymmetries.
